After-abortion support

If you have taken the abortion pill and are having second thoughts

This is a medical situation, not a comment-thread problem. What to do if you are in danger, and how after-abortion support works here.

Taking medication to end a pregnancy and then feeling unsure is a medical situation, not a riddle you have to solve in a comment thread.

This is not a how-to, and it is not a reversal protocol. Eden does not perform abortions, does not refer for abortion, and does not dispense abortion medication. We also do not provide abortion-pill “reversal” as a treatment here.

If you are having symptoms now

Heavy bleeding, fever, severe pain, dizziness, or feeling faint is a reason to go to an emergency department or call 911. Bring the name of any medication you took if you know it. The people who can treat complications are licensed clinicians in a setting equipped for that work.

If you still have unused pills, do not guess. Ask a pharmacist, an emergency clinician, or the clinician who provided them what to do with them.

After the immediate medical question

Some people feel relief. Some feel grief, anger, numbness, or a delayed wave weeks or years later. All of those can be true. Our after-abortion support is a confidential place to set that down — recently or long after.

If you have not confirmed a pregnancy yet, or you are unsure how far along you are, a clinic test and limited ultrasound can answer medical facts first. Request an appointment and tell us how we may reach you.

You do not have to perform certainty to be taken seriously. You do have to let a medical setting handle anything that might be an emergency.
