You will not find a made-up “I was 19 in the waiting room” story on this page. Other people’s testimony is not yours to borrow, and we will not invent one to make a point.
If you have had an abortion — recently or years ago — and something in you has not settled, that is enough reason to be taken seriously.
What people often describe
Guilt, grief, anger, numbness, a delayed wave at an anniversary, trouble making peace with yourself or with someone else. Those feelings can be psychological, emotional, physical, or spiritual. They can show up immediately or much later. None of that is a requirement. You do not have to prove you are in pain.
Eden offers after-abortion support that is confidential and non-judgmental. It is not a courtroom. It is not a campaign. It is a place to tell the truth of what you carry.
We also see people who were affected by someone else’s abortion decision. You can say that here too.
If you need clinical mental health care
Say so. We will not treat therapy as something we provide. Licensed counseling and, when it is needed, psychiatric care belong with people licensed for that work. If you are in crisis, call 911 or 988.
If you want to start with us, request an appointment and mention after-abortion support. You do not have to call it that at the desk if those words are too sharp. You can just say you need a private visit.
