For you

Building healthy relationships for a life you can stay in

No is a complete sentence. Isolation is not protection. How to think about dating, pregnancy, and safety without a lecture.

Growing up — and the years after — come with new friendships, new dating, and new ways people can treat you. You may be learning what you will accept. You may be unlearning what you were told to accept.

Healthy relationships are not a personality type. They are a set of habits you can practice, and a set of lines you are allowed to keep.

A short list that actually matters

  • You can say no without a speech.
  • Someone who cares about you can hear “not now” without punishing you.
  • Jealousy is not proof of love. Isolation is not protection.
  • Sex, pregnancy, and STI risk are allowed to be spoken about in daylight, not only in a fight.
  • You do not have to stay in a conversation that has become cruel in order to be “mature.”

If a possible pregnancy is part of the story, you still get to decide who is in the room. Eden will see you alone. We will also see men for STI testing and for Just for DAD if that is the door they need.

If you are not safe

A relationship that scares you is a safety problem, not a communication problem. Local advocates, and our staff, can help you think privately. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

If you want a confidential medical starting point, request an appointment. You do not have to arrive with a partner, and you do not have to arrive with a plan for the rest of your life.
